A blog is a website which is monitored by an individual or an organization who regularly updates the descriptions of events, informative and entertainment material. In the recent years the popularity of blogs has increased and there are various blogs websites. Some websites update their own blogs while some also allow the users to submit blogs. This allows the users to communicate their opinions to others.
Some blogging websites are informative, some entertaining and some are marketing based.
There are various types of blogs which are generally different on the basis of the type of content and they way the content is delivered or written. To submit blogs; the users can make their free logins. The first type of blogs is personal blogs which are considered as the ongoing diary or commentaries by individuals. It is a traditional type of blog and it is the most common blog.
Interestingly, some personal blogs are never read by any person but individuals generally maintain these blogs for their own satisfaction. Basically a blog is more than a way to way to communicate like it may reflect your works of art. Twitter is a microblogging website which is very famous among the young generation because it actually provides a way to submit blogs, share thoughts and interacting with friends.
Corporate blogs are the second kind of blogs and they can be either private or for business purposes. There are various reasons because of which corporate blogs are created like for marketing branding and public relations. The companies submit blogs in their blog sites on regular basis. Question blogs form another category of blogs where the answers to the questions are given. These questions are submitted by users via mails, telephones, VOIP and submittal forms.
Some blogs are categorized on the basis of type of media like vblog consists of videos and linklog comprise of links. A blog which consists of portfolio of sketches is known as sketchblog while the one which contains photos is known as photoblog. Interestingly, one rare kind of blog is Phlog which is hosted on Gopher Protocol. Therefore, there are various kinds of media blogs.
Blogs can be also categorized on the basis of the device through which the blog is composed like if you write a blog with a mobile then it is known as moblog. Finally, there are different blogs categorized on the basis of genre like political blogs, travel blogs, niche blogs, fashion blogs and music blogs.
